Microsoft announced on Wednesday pricing and availability for the five titles in the Must Have Games 2012 promotion. Announced at CES earlier this month, the Must Have Games promotion highlights a month of high-quality Windows Phone game releases. It is not dissimilar to Xbox LIVE Arcade’s House Party and Summer of Arcade promotions.
The Redmond software giant will kick off Must Have Games on February 1 with the release of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit for $4.99. This will be followed by Bullet Asylum the following week (February 8) for the usual $2.99 and Chickens Can’t Fly on February 15 for the same price tag. The promotion, in our opinion, really picks up with the release of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction HD for $4.99 on February 22. Finally, Toy Soldiers: Boot Camp will close out the five weeks of great games on February 29 for $2.99.
A detailed description of each game can be found in our announcement article from CES. There’s no word yet on when the 20 plus EA titles will exclusively hit Nokia devices, but we don’t expect that to happen until after the release of the Nokia Lumia 900 on March 18.
