Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction, the most recent game in the hit spy series, has finally arrived on Windows Phone. The penultimate title in Microsoft’s Must Have Games program, Splinter Cell: Conviction retells the story contained in the 2010 Xbox 360 videogame of the same name. Many of the retail release’s gameplay mechanics make an appearance in the mobile version, including Mark & Execute, which makes targeting enemies on a small screen much easier, and Last Known Position. Conviction is already available on a few other mobile platforms, but this is the first time it has had achievements and leaderboards.

Play as Sam Fisher, a highly skilled Special Forces operative and fight a corrupted secret agency to get your daughter back. Follow a trail of intrigue that leads from Iraq to a high-security building in Washington. Run, jump, fight, and shoot using a handgun, shotgun, AK47 and bazooka, or maintain stealth by improvising with nearby objects. You are now a renegade spy agent; you don’t follow any orders except for your own rules of engagement!

Must Have Games will conclude next week with Toy Soldiers: Boot Camp, but the promotion has already offered up many entertaining titles, including Chickens Can’t Fly, BulletAsylum, and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Microsoft has also revealed another set of upcoming Windows Phone games, so stay tuned for additional details later today.
