Some people like to make fun of Windows Phone’s relatively small market share, but it might not remain that way for long. The Nokia Lumia 800 is currently topping the sales charts on KPN, the biggest mobile operator in the Netherlands, surpassing Android, BlackBerry, and iPhone. The black iPhone 4S 16GB is currently sitting in second place, followed by the Samsung Galaxy S Plus and BlackBerry Torch 9860.

Formerly known as the “Sea Ray,” the Lumia 800 one of the first Windows Phones from the Finnish device manufacturer. The Netherlands is a relatively small market when compared to the US, but the Lumia 800′s success there–and throughout the UK–might be indicative of the Nokia brand name, high-quality hardware, and large marketing campaign.

Nokia is rumored to be launching its first US Windows Phones on T-Mobile on December 14, and the company is in talks with AT&T for a possible late-January release. Windows Phone seems to finally be picking up steam.

I agree! 32GB and 64GB variants are a must. I hope the Lumia 900 has a front-facing camera and more internal memory.
